India makes rare long-term soy purchases to secure cheap supply

Traders have locked in more than 150,000 tons of South American soybean oil for each month from April to July 2026, said Aashish Acharya, vice president at Patanjali Foods Ltd., one of the country’s top vegetable-oil buyers.
